The E-Government Laboratory of the University of Athens (UoA/eGovLab, http://www.e-gov.gr/uoalab) is a research team of the University of Athens Department of Informatics and Telecommunications (UoA/DIT, http://www.di.uoa.gr). It is one of the pioneering academic research and technological development (R&TD) groups in the field of Electronic Governance in Greece.

The E-Government Laboratory of the University of Athens brings together scientific skills and know-how from multiple fields of Information and Communications Technology R&TD, including web services and web applications, network architecture and security, data and knowledge engineering, software engineering, business process modelling and human-computer interaction, focusing on the integration and productive use of the aforementioned technologies for e-governance services. The Laboratory team, consisting of approximately 10 doctorate and post-doctorate researchers, also provides consulting services on business planning and operations management, relating to electronic administrative servicing systems.
